Andrew Goldie


Born and raised in Melbourne Australia, Goldie has been pursuing photography and film since his early teens. Inspired by his childhood camping adventures into the Australian wilderness, he developed an affinity for nature and landscape photography whilst his high School Art class exposed him to and inspired him by artists such as Brett Whiteley, Salvador Dali, Jeffrey Smart and Bill Henson.  

A common theme that runs through Goldie’s artistic work evolves around our ‘existence' within the mass of our universe and the pathways of energy that flow throughout it.

Goldie studied Photography at R.M.I.T. University. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 1999,  he moved to London where he worked on commercial projects fro the next two years. Working in London at the highest level taught him the artistic processes and techniques that allows one to realise theirvision". 

Goldie then moved to Tokyo where he immersed himself in a the Japanese culture focused his energies towards art and begun work on his first solo exhibition "Big In Japan”. Since then, Goldie has had the opportunity to exhibit both in Australia and overseas. He has been the recipient of the New York “Exposure award", a finalist in the highly acclaimed Moran portrait prize and a featured exhibiting artist in the Head On Photography festival. 

Goldie now spends his time between Sydney, Australia and Tokyo Japan and has also moved into Directing short films and video clips in recent years. His passion is for the Art and creating compelling imagery wether that is through a still or moving medium. He is well known for his technique, lighting and vision that has led him to be highly sought after for commercial commissions as well as a respected artist.

Paypal, Toyota, Sony, Red Bull, Ikea, Telstra, AMP, Woolwrths, Sydney Water, Transport NSW, Panadol, Olympus, StGeorge, Dan Murphys, Westpac, Mirvac, GlaxoSmithKline, Invocare, Bayer and Genero TV, 

As well he has been a regular photographic contributor to magazines such as-

Sunday Life magazine, Good weekend Magazine, Womens Day, Qantas magazine, Virgin magazine and Womens weekly.
